Qigong
Discover the Energy Within You
One of the most powerful tools for improving your health has been around for thousands of years... and is available to you simply by learning how to breathe, move and become present.
With a recorded history spanning more than 5,000 years, Qigong is one of the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The word Qi means life force energy, while Gong means skill or cultivation. Together they describe the practice of nurturing and strengthening the vital energy that supports every aspect of our health and wellbeing.
Unlike many modern forms of exercise, Qigong isn't about pushing harder or striving for perfection. It's about slowing down, becoming present and allowing your body to return to its own natural state of balance.
As your awareness grows, many people notice subtle sensations such as warmth, tingling or the gentle movement of energy within the body. Others simply experience a profound sense of calm and relaxation. Every experience is unique.
For me, one of the most empowering aspects of Qigong is discovering that we all have the ability to take an active role in our own health and wellbeing. The more we become aware of our own energy, the more we can work with it to support our health, vitality and inner peace.
Cultivating Your Life Force Energy
Although Qigong involves gentle flowing movements, it is far more than a physical practise.
Every movement is combined with mindful breathing, relaxed awareness and intention, creating a moving meditation that helps cultivate and strengthen your life force energy while bringing your body and mind into harmony.
Many people describe feeling calmer, lighter, more grounded and deeply relaxed after just one session.
Over time, regular practice can improve flexibility, balance, posture, concentration and emotional resilience, while helping you feel more energised and connected in everyday life.
What Are the Benefits?
Modern research continues to explore the many benefits of regular Qigong practice. Studies suggest it may help to:

-
Calm the nervous system

Most importantly, many people simply leave feeling calmer, clearer and more like themselves.
"Qigong is the most profound health practice ever invented by mankind for the prevention of illness, reducing stress, managing chronic conditions, increasing longevity, and promoting healthy, active aging."
Tom Rogers, President, Qigong Institute
What Happens During a Session?
Qigong can be enjoyed either in a small group or as a one-to-one session.
Each session begins with gentle stretching before we move through the beautiful Dragonfly Qigong sequence together, finishing with a relaxing meditation to help you integrate the practice and leave feeling calm, balanced and revitalised.
No previous experience is needed, just your body and your breath and a practice that has been quietly transforming lives for thousands of years. The movements can be adapted for different ages, abilities and levels of mobility.
My Approach
I love introducing people to Qigong because it offers something increasingly rare in modern life...
Permission to slow down.
Permission to breathe.
Permission to simply be.
Whether you join a group or choose an individual session, my intention is to create a welcoming, relaxed space where you can explore your own energy, discover what your body is capable of and leave feeling calmer, stronger and more connected than when you arrived. You can enjoy a sense of inner stillness that stays with you long after the session ends.
I look forward to welcoming you and sharing this beautiful practice with you.
